Willows class
Willows Class is a Year 1/2 class taught by Mr Mckenna (Mon-Tues) and Miss Evans (Wed-Fri). Willows class is supported by Mrs Ellis.
This half term's theme is Medieval Magic. We will use different historical sources to learn more about castles and to look for clues whether there was a castle in York. We will write a range of non-fiction texts based on the theme of castles.
The children have been exploring the school grounds in Geography and looking for human and physical features.
In STEM week the children created their own robots!
Also during STEM week the children created boats made out of tinfoil and we tested them to see how many coins they could hold.
Willows class had a VR workshop where they went on safari and did a deep sea dive.
