How do we ensure continuity and consistency?
Every teaching staff member across school has received training in our Little Wandle phonics and reading programme to ensure consistency and fidelity to the programme. Resources are matched to the programme and used in whole class phonics and interventions to reduce cognitive overload for our pupils. Ongoing training keeps our phonics teachers updated and refreshed with excellent phonics teaching practice. Bite-sized training videos models how sessions should be delivered to further ensure consistency and fidelity to the scheme throughout our school.
